We started our day by traveling in the opposite direction of every tourist to reach the hidden treasures of West-Boston, passing a mural that looks very similar to Svenja.

As it was already rather late, we decided to search for a small restaurant and soon reached our first gourmet place of the day, the SRV. A small, modern restaurant in a courtyard, offering unique and innovative combinations of Tapas.

With new strength we went to the main place we planed for today: the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Named after and founded by the art collector Isabella Stewart Gardner, the Museum, located inside a normal brick stone-building, shows her art collection and was opened to public in 1903. All artworks are thematically arranged in different rooms surrounding one large, 4 stories high “palace-like” garden.

In the evening, we took once more the opportunity to celebrate our 3rd anniversary (for the third time now, after Chicago and Montréal). So we went made a reservation in the Top of the Hub, a restaurant located on the highest floor (52) of the Prudential Tower in Boston. With 220m, the restaurant is the highest public location in Boston and allows a breath-taking view over the European-like city. And once more, we were lucky enough to get the best table in the hotel and so we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with live music, an amazing service and the view onto probably the most beautiful city we have seen so far. And by eating slowly enough, we were even able to catch Boston at night before heading back to our hotel.
