Today is the day of our return to Switzerland. After rather short three and a half weeks traveling through four major cities in the north-east of America and learning to know a much nicer culture than we expected, mainly thanks to all our local supporters, it was time to pack our things and, since our flight (without the delay) departs at 10 pm, store our baggage at the hotel and explore some more of Manhattan. Although we actually booked our accommodation near Columbus Circus to visit the Central Park, we did not have to time yet to do so. So we decided to get in there as fast a possible as the sun was really strong and forced you to stay in the shadow at all times.
So here are some pictures of our walk through at least half of the Central Park (we stopped at Belvedere Castle and went to the nearest subway at 81st Street to get back to the hotel) including a surprisingly good Cheesecake at a surprisingly bad Café and an amazing almost-“a capella” band at the Bethesda Fountain.

Luckily we were informed good enough to plan our return wisely, so we took the subway to Penn Station from where we got on a NJ Express train to get to the Newark Airport without any stress or traffic and cheap at the same time. The train station even had a direct connection to the Air Train, which brings you directly to your gate without searching for almost an hour as we experienced at other airports.
And so we managed to get through the strict American security control for probably the last time in a long while and had a delicious semi-dinner, before boarding the aircraft with the mandatory delay and heading back to Switzerland.
