British weather

“Petrus” is probably a big fan of our blog which explains today’s weather after we always compared Boston to European and especially English cities. The 1.6 inch of rain we had in the last 24 hours (about 41 mm which is more than a 30th of the total average rainfall for a full year) literally rained off most of our sightseeing plans.

However, as it was our last day, we at least tried to visit Harvard and the MIT in the northwest of Boston. Below you can see some images of our walk, protected by our newly bought umbrella, through the center area of Harvard.

In our last effort to prevent a cold, we decided to take a break in a nearby Café and get some breakfast.

However, as we wanted to wait for the rain to stop or at least to be less heavy before we head over to the MIT, the fire alarm went off and did not stop anymore, which made staying impossible. So we escaped the Café like everyone else and headed back to the hotel to get a nap and to relax a little before we went for an amazing sushi dinner.
