Our time in Flores was about to end, so we headed towards Maumere along the Trans Flores straight through the beautiful jungle. After some time we stopped at a cocoa plantation to try some fresh fruits which, to our amazement, tasted very similar to mango.
About 20 kilometers later we planned a quick stop at the locally well known coca beach. Altough it is said to be very crowded during weekends, when we were there (it was Monday around 11 am), we were the only one. There was not a single tourist on both of the beautiful white-sanded beaches (you can see them on the image below and in the title). Only some locals were selling fresh coconuts or were trying to help our driver to find a new brake disc since our was worn out at the time when we arrived at the beach.

Since we were not able to organzise a new brake disc, we had to continue our drive with the old one. Luckily, our driver discovered a similar car on a parking just some kilometers later. And even more luckily, the owner had an additional disc and while the old one was replaced we were able to have a fish soup for lunch at the local restaurant before continuing to the airport of Maumere.
In Bali we had an airport transfer to our new accomodation. We chose our hotel so that it was located near both of the temples we wanted to visit on the next day. Unfortunatelly that meant that it was right in the heart of Kuta, an district crowded with party people. We will never understand why so many tourists fly that far from Europe to Indonesia to just see the same as they would by just going to Mallorca but luckily, despite it’s location, the hotel Asana Agung Putra Bali was pretty quiet. Nevertheless we had a little cultural shock by moving from the jungle to this overstimulating area.
