The first day of our PADI Open Water course with the Dive Komodo diving school was really tough while at the same time really enjoyable. Learning to dive, experiencing how it is to run out of air or to practice emergency situations in a real environment and far away from any civilisation seems quite scary in the first place. But at the same time you actually feel and see what you’re training for and there is nothing more motivating than when a swarm of beautiful fish interrupt your practice by swimming through the area between you and your instructor.
Altough there are alot of things we have to improve, we did already learn so many important and life-saving behaviours thanks to our instructor Stu and our divemaster J.T.
For our first day we had our own speed boat with a driver. We are the only two students in our group and have two very experienced divers just for us which allows as to perfect our skills in one of the most beautiful underwater parks in the world.
